Leavy <br /> Present: Sheila De Forest, Charles Haynes, David F. Luebke, and Mark Spreitzer (via telephone) <br /> Absent: Eric Newnham <br /> <br /> 1. Vice President Van De Bogart called the meeting to order at 5:44 p.m. in the 4th Floor City Manager's <br /> Conference Room at City Hall. Roll called showed Councilors De Forest, Haynes, Luebke, and Van De <br /> Bogart present and Councilor Spreitzer present via telephone. President Leavy joined the meeting via <br /> telephone at 5:50 p.m. and joined the meeting in person at 6:10 p.m. <br /> 2. Councilor Luebke moved to adjourn into closed session Pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(g) to confer with <br /> legal counsel regarding Litigation Settlement involving Rock County Circuit Court Case of Belcoat, et. al. <br /> vs. City of Beloit. Councilor Haynes seconded. The motion carried, and the Council adjourned into closed <br /> session at 5:44 p.m. <br /> 3. Councilor Luebke moved to reconvene into open session, and Councilor De Forest seconded. The motion <br /> carried, and the Council reconvened into open session at 6:30 p.m. <br /> 4. Councilor Luebke moved to adopt a Resolution Approving Settlement of Litigation Involving Belcoat <br /> Corporation, Inc. and Others Versus the City of Beloit and Authorizing the Execution Thereof for the sum of <br /> $270,000.00. Councilor Van De Bogart seconded, and the motion carried by a vote of 6-0. File #7486 <br /> <br /> 5. Councilor Van De Bogart moved to adjourn the meeting, and Councilor De Forest seconded.
